The Apollo 79-700 series brass two-piece inline refrigerant ball valve, with no handle, has a pressure-equalizing ball to prevent seat blowout caused by the thermal expansion of fluid, and a capped, triple-sealed, blowout-proof stem for reduced leak potential. This valve is made of brass for higher corrosion resistance than steel, and has copper connections for brazing to copper tubing. The valve is full port for reduced friction; its inner diameter is the same as the inner diameter of the pipe it connects to for maximum operating efficiency. Reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (RPTFE) seats and seals reduce the risk of leakage. The maximum pressure rating is 500 pounds per square inch (gauge) (psig) cold working pressure (CWP) and the temperature range is -20 to 450 degrees F.
